Hawaiian Ham & Cheese Sandwiches

Ingredients:

2 dz King Sweet Hawaiian rolls
1-1/2 lb thin slices of ham
12 slices swiss cheese
1 c butter
4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp poppy seeds

Directions:

Cut rolls in half and place ham and a ½ slice of cheese (folded) on top. Fold sandwich back together.

Melt butter. Stir Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder into butter. Allow to cool a bit.

Pour all the mixture over the top of the sandwiches – each sandwich should be saturated with the mixture.

Sprinkle poppy seeds over the top.

Place foil lightly over the top and refrigerate overnight or for 6-8 hours.

** Such a tasty – but easy meal. Add a side of fruit salad

and a green salad and call lunch or dinner done!

1 8oz cream cheese (soft)
¼ c  butter, softened
2 c ham (chopped)
1 ½ c broccoli (chopped)
2 c cheese grated
1 c parmesan cheese
1 c scallions (finely chopped)

Directions:
Make your favorite recipe for yeast rolls (or use frozen). Roll the dough out as if you were making cinnamon rolls. Spread with cream cheese and butter. Top with the ham, broccoli, cheeses, and scallions.
Roll up and slice – let rise – and bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
To make them pretty: brush with butter and sprinkle with sea salt, sesame seeds or poppy seeds.

** Use this same process to make pizza rolls, four cheese rolls and other roll varieties.

These are also great with green salad and fruit!

Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes

Philly sloppies
(Sophia’s Pic – click on it to go to her blog!)

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons steak sauce (I used Worchestershire)
1 cup beef stock
Salt and ground black pepper
4 dinner rolls (It made enough for 10 at our table)
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup milk
1 cup provolone, shredded

Ingredients:

n large skillet over medium-high heat add the oil and then brown the ground beef, about 5-6 minutes. Add the onion and green pepper and cook another 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables start to get tender. Stir in the steak sauce and beef stock, season with salt and pepper, bring up to a bubble and cook about 2 minutes.
Split open rolls and remove most of the soft insides, leaving a bed to hold the meat mixture. Toast the rolls and set aside. (We skipped this step because we love Lee's Ranch rolls.)
While the meat is cooking, melt the butter in a medium-size pot over medium-high heat. Stir in the flour and cook about 1 minute. Whisk in milk, bring up to a bubble and let thicken, about 2 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in the cheese. Enjoy!
To serve, place a scoopful of the meat mixture onto the bottom of the rolls, then top with the cheese sauce and replace the top of the roll.

Cheesey Taco's

This is my children's all-time FAVORITE go to meal. :) What could be easier? It is like Grilled Cheese sammy's without the fuss. Love it!

Ingredients:
Shredded Cheese (your choice)
Corn Tortillas
Additional Toppings: lettuce, extra cheese, tomatoes, onion, celery, carrot, taco sauce to dip in, etc. Whatever you like on your taco's will be perfect on these little goodies! :)

Place 1 tortilla on plate. Sprinkle with Cheese. Place in microwave for 11 seconds at a time until melted. Fold over like a taco, serve. Delish!

Okay, we have made it with shredded roasted chicken, Ham and provolone, Swiss Cheese, tomato and onion. You can add shredded lettuce on top - leave it plain. We have also tried apples and cinnamon with cream cheese frosting inside. YUM!! :)

Be creative and use your imagination!

Happy Baking!
