Meatballs:
Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb Italian sausage
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
2/3 cup Italian bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 or 2 cloves fresh garlic
A little milk to moisten mixture
Directions:
Mix all ingredients well – don’t over mix.Roll into golf-size balls
Add to simmering red sauce.
Cook 10-15 minutes on low heat.
Red Sauce:
Ingredients:
3 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves fresh garlic – crushed
1 onion – chopped
1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
1 28 ounce can tomato puree
1 can tomato past, plus 1 can water
2 tsp basil
2 tsp oregano
Directions:
Simmer all ingredients together for 1 1/2 hours.Enjoy!
Add meatballs.
